The Combination Emergency Eyewash and Gooseneck Faucet – Durable and Space-Saving
Chicago Faucets has combined an independently operated full-service eyewash with a durable, solid brass gooseneck spout with touchless or manual options. Now, you can provide convenient, on-demand protection for the people in your workspace without the need to install a separate eyewash fitting.
Features:
Separate water supply for eyewash – Independent supply line for eyewash allows connection to an ASSE 1071 thermostatic mixing valve to meet code and provide user safety.
Large push-handle for easy activation – Intuitive and widely used push handle design for easy-to-locate, single-action operation during any eye emergency.
Dual aerated spray heads with flip top caps – Caps protect spray heads between uses and flip off automatically when activated. The 3.3 GPM at 50 PSI flow rate provides soft and wide streams for both eyes.
Retrofit to existing sink – For areas that need an eyewash station and already have a sink, the Chicago Faucets 8450 Series Eyewash Faucet can be retrofit to existing sinks for a quick and easy upgrade.
Durable and reliable construction – Durable brass construction, reliable ceramic cartridge operation, plus two independent waterways for the faucet and eyewash.
Standard water supply to faucet – Standard and separate supply installation to the gooseneck faucet, with available flow rates of 2.2 GPM aerated and 1.0 GPM laminar.

Safety Requirements
Labs and hazardous materials sites are required by national and local codes to provide safety equipment such as eyewash stations. For example, ANSI/ISEA Z358.1-2014 American National Standard for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment says, “manufacturing and processing facilities, construction sites, laboratories, medical and healthcare facilities, refineries, and other workplaces” must install and maintain emergency equipment.
OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910.151(c) puts it this way: “Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use.”
